Just a note about the bios update. I decided to post about it on the blog to hopefully make life easier for anyone else “out there” who ere the same problem and is searching for answers. Restarted Windows 7, logged in and the following error message appears: Sign up or log in Sign up using Google.

It takes a few goes to get the machine to allow me to select the device to boot from, but I eventually get a Windows 98 command prompt. The installation is actually remarkably straight forward.
I also recommend you right click on the Taskbar and use the properties section to shrink the toolbar. Can you get SQL on it? You must be logged in to post a comment. Now works fine with: The Asis program is useless for downloading the bios — you could sit there for days.

I would love my FN keys to work. It runs fast, smooth and without glitch. By installing the Windows XP versions asjs the drivers for the touchpad and audio card as well as the Super Hybrid Engine software I was able to get all the function key controls working.
When this finished I found a nasty glitch. There’s a potential p file fix detailed here – although you need to run autologon which I can’t in order for it to execute: I am sure someone will amend the current drivers and apps out there.
Extract it and install it. Also, the only FN keys that work for me are the Screen brightness functions. Notsure why my computer hung for a while.
So now I knew what was required to fix adus issue, but Murphy’s Law was working against me. Newer is always better, isn’t it?
I blamed the BIOS update.
