You could also remove the cover on the base of the laptop and see what the adapter is from there too. Invaild Dell Service Tag, check your entry and try again.
I bought the cheapest converter card though and the zif wouldn’t grip. I can usually get ride of over 20GB wwn wasted space that way that’s a lot. Good luck in your research! Really fast and very wwwn. I can’t help you directly here, but there are guides on the Internet on how you should optimise Windows installations to run best on the SSD. I’ve been wondering if that would be a faster interface going right into the PCIe bus?

With old disk i got seq. When trying to boot the BIOS can’t find a disk.
It was a Windows XP installation, i managed to install windows 7 using a usb stick, and disabled aero, but the system does seem to be affected very much my the ssd addition.
It may even do better if Windows 10 recognises more of the hardware that the XP iso did.
